    Must Try Smash Cheeseburger – Full of Flavor

    Hello! If you’re a burger fanatic, you have to try this super popular smashed patty cheeseburger recipe.
    The burger meat is packed full of flavor. Super easy and fast to make in your own kitchen.

    I know what you’re thinking and I thought the same. Why would I want to smash a perfect juicy burger patty? But hear me out.
    I usually like my beef burger patty thick and medium with all the traditional burger toppings, but I was not disappointed when I tried this smashed burger.
    The ground beef was juicy and oozing with flavor, and the grilled and charred flavor was on point.

    Traditional Cheeseburger Versus Smash Cheeseburger

    I admit I was doubtful at first and my wife likes her burger super traditional too, but we both changed our minds when we dived in.
    Because the patties are thin, the parts of the meat is charred and the sides are a little crispy.
    The combination of this gives the burger additional layers of flavor and texture.

    Ingredients

    Adjust Servings
    1/2 pound of ground beef (20% fat ratio is recommended for more flavor) or meat of choice
    1 set of burger buns
    Cheese of choice
    2 tablespoons of oil of choice
    1 tablespoon of butter
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Onions of choice
    Lettuce of choice
    Any burger toppings of choice – ketchup, mustard, pickles, etc.
    Spread Ingredients
    2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
    1 tablespoon of ketchup
    1 tablespoon of relish

    Directions

    1.

    Divide and conquer:

    Divide ground meat into 2 equal round ball portions (do not form patties).
    Mark as complete

    Prep the spread:

    Prepare the spread by combining the mayonnaise, ketchup, and relish.
    Mark as complete
    3.

    Prepare toppings:

    Prepare the toppings of choice like sliced onions, pickles, and other dressings.
    Mark as complete
    4.

    Cook time:

    Start cooking by adding butter to a medium to high heated pan.

    Toast it:

    Toast the buns until golden brown, then remove from heat.
    Mark as complete

    Grease it:

    In a clean pan, add oil to grease the pan.

    Smash it:

    Place the ground beef balls in the center of pan, and smash flat with spatulas until desired thinness.

    Season it:

    Season the patties with salt and pepper to taste.

    Flip it:

    Flip patties and top with cheddar cheese.
    Mark as complete
    10.

    More cheese please:

    Stack the patties and add more cheese, if desired.

    Top it:

    Remove the patties from the heat and assemble the burger with desired spread and toppings.
